about

I realise now that I had been attempting to cope with panic attacks for years. When I began talking about my own mental health (and the issues I was having) with severe panic attacks back in 2018 (issues I am still working on daily), I realised just how many others have had their own struggles, and just how many are so willing to discuss it openly in an attempt to help others around them who might be feeling similarly.

“The Practice of Suffering” is a three track EP reflecting upon the pits and heights that come into play with the struggles I, and others I have spoken to, have mentally when we might feel at our lowest. The way it can spiral out of control without practice in dealing with it. When I’m in one of those pits, one of those lows, it always feels like it’s going to last forever. This EP is about that process of feeling everything, and then coming out the other side to be able to share how it has felt, in some way, to help me make sense of the world.

I have missed not being in a ‘band’. So, I’m delighted that Jameson Nathan Jones and Maciej Sadowski wanted to work on these songs with me. I owe so much to these two wonderful people. Happiness, when felt, is always best shared with others, I think.
